Jordan has counseled a spectrum of families, couples, and children in a Christian-themed, clinical setting using spiritual intervention strategies derived from his comprehensive academic training.  Jordan also has experience working with local court and judicial systems, treating court-ordered clients and families while leading Family Violence Intervention Program (FVIP), substance and drug abuse, anger management, and parenting psychoeducation classes and therapy groups.

Jordan’s past experiences working with children, adolescents, and college students as a small-town newspaper sports editor and a camp counselor gives him a unique perspective and spirited approach to counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups.  Jordan not only implements play and recreational interventions with his child and adolescent clients, but he also injects non-traditional, interactive therapeutic activities into sessions with his adult clients and couples as well.  Though deeply rooted in his Christian faith and academic training, Jordan favors a solution-focused approach that addresses spiritual and religious components to each client’s personal and unique journey with God.  Upon request, however, Jordan willingly explores with clients more enriching ways of fully experiencing God and His calling in their lives.

Jordan earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University, an intensive program dedicated to training counselors therapeutic philosophies and techniques from a Christian perspective.  Jordan received his Bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism from Georgia State University in Atlanta, where he also held several internships covering the Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Force, and the 2003 NBA All-Star Weekend.
